The original GCG Prospects Week was started in the year 2000 with the goal of developing NHL goaltenders. Since then the GCG has added an All Girls Camp and a Youth Prospects Camp. In all, this program has helped develop 23 NHL draft picks and goalies have attended 25 different major universities and colleges from Boston College to the University of Minnesota.
Seven Prospects goaltenders have played in the NHL, with many more knocking at the door. At Prospects, the goalies learn not only from an array of experienced coaches and guest speakers, but also from the other goaltenders themselves. With goalies in attendance from Maine to British Columbia and as far away as Finland and Austria, there are several styles and techniques that participants will experience.
