The Woodstock Slammers (11-7-1-5) defeated the Restigouche Tigers (4-17-2-1) 5-2 Thursday night in Campbellton. Brad Jackson led the Slammers with 1 goal and 2 assists while John Chayka added 4 assists.
Jackson opened the scoring at 9:38 to give the Slammers a 1-0 lead after the first period. Brogan Bailey scored at 9:40 to extend the lead to 2-0. Bailey (game winner, second goal of game) scored at 13:03 to increase the lead to 3-0. Scott Bragg scored at 18:39 to widen the Woodstock lead to 4-0 after the second period. Steve Pearson (shorthanded) scored at 9:10 to get the Tigers on the score board at 4-1. Adam Donovan scored at 12:43 to regain the 4 goal lead at 5-1. Michel Querry (powerplay) scored at 18:01 to round out the scoring. Woodstock went 0 for 6 on the powerplay while Restigouche went 1 for 4.
Curtis Black stopped 28 of 30 shots for the win while Stefan Dumaresque stopped 34 of 39 shots in the loss.
