Robb Stauber was a Minnesota High School All-State goalkeeper at Duluth Denfeld H.S. He attended the University of Minnesota and in 1988 was the first goalie ever to win the Hobey Baker Award, given annually to the outstanding U.S. college hockey player. He was a college All-American, a WCHA MVP, and team MVP while playing for the Gophers. Robb was recently named one of the top 50 players in WCHA history. Robb played 10 years of professional hockey. He was a two time AHL All-Star and played in the 1993 Stanley Cup Finals with the LA Kings. He also played for the Buffalo Sabres, Washington Capitals, and New York Rangers. Robb is co-director of the Academy and the goalie coach for the Golden Gophers. In the last four years, Robb successfully developed the first training device exclusively for goalies.
